Whether you’re of a religious bent or you favor a more naturalist view of the world, these resources are well worth the effort to review. For the religiously inclined, exploring supposed flaws and inconsistencies in your faith can either help you to better understand and concretize your world views or it can allow you to … Continue reading Atheist (non-theist?) If you are new to being a skeptic or are interested in learning more about it, the links below will prove invaluable. Most important to remember is that a skeptic is not (necessarily) a cynic. A cynic is essentially a nay-sayer. Someone who will take the most negative connotation or meaning from a situation or … Continue reading Skeptic resources
Suburban Tap caters to a pretty active crowd and it’s a basic pub at heart. The fries here are surprisingly good. I suppose I shouldn’t be so surprised as, so far, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had on their menu. I’m pretty sure these are the pre-fab kind of fries (a la Burger King) but their … Continue reading Suburban Tap Fries – Excellent
I’m slowly moving my pictures from my own, locally hosted, gallery up to Flickr. There’s a wider audience there and, quite frankly, the local gallery is a bit onerous to maintain. A fairly common problem in Domino / Lotus Notes is to have a mismatch between the private key in some user’s user.id file and the public key in the Directory (Address Book). This can come about through a number of ways: restoring a really old copy of a user ID, recreating a user ID without … Continue reading Cure for Public / Private key mismatch in Lotus Notes
About 4 years ago, shortly after the Georgia Public Service Commission completely abdicated their responsibilities and threw Georgia consumers to the Natural Gas provider “wolves”, I invested in a bunch of electric heaters to use as part of a “zoned” scheme to keep my house comfortable (heat only the bedroom area in the evening and … Continue reading Honeywell HZ519 Baseboard Heater Noise Issue / Rotary Heater Rotating Lifetime
