I have a soft spot in my heart for “Torn”. It was really big when Mich and I visited Australia back in 1999. All up the gold coast we heard the song again and again as we listened to the radio (and, admittedly a lot on tape too).
Years later, when I saw the Mime version of “Torn” I thought it was hysterical. I think it takes a great amount of class to accept a humorous interpretation of your work, but to embrace it totally like this puts Natalie in a special category by herself…
Rodney Carrington has a great voice (OK OK even if it *is* country and western..) so you almost take his songs seriously until you listen to the words. Then they are truly entertaining, he has a great turn of phrase that are worthy of a “snork” from Glenn!
OK, another adult themed song here. But still clever and a LOT of great clips.

Have you ever wondered what you cat did all day?
Where he went? Maybe he’s got some friends you don’t know about? Both our cats are now indoor only, but our last cat Vern, a rescued stray, could not be made to stay indoors under any circumstances. We caught the occasional hint of what he was up to from comments from neighbors or glimpses caught of him when we headed out on errands. But you never *really* know what cats are up to, do you?
Well, I spotted Mr. Lee through Phil Plait’s “Bad Astronomy” blog and I thought it was clever enough that I wanted to comment on it too. Some guy in Germany put some thought into this and he’s got some amusing galleries that highlight what his cat is up to while out of the house. Even better, if YOU are wondering what your cat’s up to while out and about, you can now apparently, purchase your OWN cat cam! Too funny!
From the look of it, your cat probably needs to be pretty big to operate normally with this around his neck. But if he can manage it, I’m sure you’ll be in for some interesting surprises from your cat’s “other” life…

On the heels of the other viral “X in a Box†videos is this offering, “My Box in a Box for You” on CollegeHumor.com. It’s pretty well done and good for a laugh if adult themes don’t make you uncomfortable.
There is so much indie creativity out there I’m seriously considering getting rid of my DirecTV subscription.
I *really* don’t have a problem with this.
When folks with no talent whatsoever interrupt a public event just for a little fame. I think it’s entirely appropriate that they get to experience something that would normally occur in that venue…
Possibly one of the most offensive ads I’ve ever seen, which is why I have included it here 🙂
The honesty in advertising is actually kind of refreshing. I remember seeing this ad back before the Wii was even released, certainly not on TV, probably as part of a viral marketing campaign.
You can’t say that they don’t know their target demographic. Enjoy!
This little turtle definitely has a spirit worthy of our fun loving “Zippy”. Zippy had a great personality and did this with both our cat and our iguana. The pecking order had nothing to do with size and everything to do with hutzpah.
