Unsavory Home Warranty by Mail

So a couple of days ago I received this. It looks nice and official and absolutely designed to scare you into calling them.

These cowards did not even dare to put the name of their (shitty) company on the message, instead they peppered the name of a bank I once had my mortgage with throughout to make the missive look official. But the phone number they use is 1-888-996-0424 <– with some luck, anybody searching for this number will find this post to help warn them.

The name of the recipient (my wife), the address, the bank, these are all correct and presumably public record.

Looking pretty official – don’t be fooled

Please don’t fall for this. These folks need to be taken to some deserted island in the bering sea and left there with a brand new home warranty document for protection, and nothing else.

In small, italicized print at the bottom they do actually say that this is bullshit. So obviously targeting people who don’t read to the end…

  1. Got exactly the same letter
The guy got real nasty on the phone. Luckily I gave him no information. Called my mortgage company instead. Please be careful!!!!! I hope they catch them soon
I can only imagine how scary this is for a lot of people especially the elderly.
